Day 86 - Eat Some Chocolate and Throw the Rest Away and Then Go in the Trash to Get It Back
Some days are for praying. Some days are for exercising. Some days are for working. Some days are for cleaning. Some days are for eating chocolate.
The best thing about the chocolate days is when you get all holier than thou on yourself and you take a big bite of an even bigger piece of elaborate chocolate work that looks like a muffin or a child's bowling ball and you say, You only need a bite, and you can practically feel your halo light up as you go to the trash and chuck the chocolate.
Five minutes later your halo has turned into a ring of flames and you feel insane. Who throws away heaven?
You don't care if you have to dig all the way to the bottom of the trash to retrieve what you lost. One man's trash is another man's something, right? Maybe you didn't really throw the chocolate in the trash. Maybe you just put it aside to breathe.
Semantics.
You brush off your treasure and eat it.
The world can continue to spin.
Transitions are not my favorite thing. I struggle with change and loss even when leaving a hotel room after a few days of vacation or leaving a group of people I've been with for four days.. This week, these last days, are a transition from doing my 93-day project to not doing my 93-day project. Let's see if I walk through a screen door next.
See you tomorrow.
