How to Get the Thrill of Writing a Book While Just Living Your Life
- Sit down. Stand up. Drive. Go for a run. It doesn’t matter. Lie on the floor. You just have to be alive for this to work. 
- Focus on one thing. It could be a tree or your breath or the way your belly jiggles when you move or the way the floor feels under your back.. 
- Clear your mind and let the experience of that thing, that tree, that breath, that jiggle flood your brain. Let your brain become that thing. 
- Be that thing until that thing becomes the next thing, the awareness of what is happening now: a song on the radio, an ache in your knee, the smell of your neighbor’s house that is on fire yet again. 
- Your body is a window between awareness and world. Be the window. Be the awareness. Be the thing. 
- Feel it all.
